CRE Foundation accepting grant applications
Central Rural Electric Foundation is accepting grant applications from individuals and organizations from communities within the CREC service area. The grants will be awarded for charitable purposes to fill needs in the areas of personal care, education, disaster relief, and healthcare.
Applications can be obtained by calling CREC at 405-372-2884 or 800-375-2884 or downloading them from the Web site at crecfoundation.org. The application deadline is the 25th of each month. Grants will not exceed $2,500 per individual or $10,000 to any family unit, group, organization, charity, or like organization.
The foundation operates from funds generated through CREC’s Operation Round Up® program which started in November 2005. Seventy-five percent of CREC’s membership participates in the program that rounds up monthly electric bills to the next dollar to create a fund that will help community organizations and individuals.
