The CRE Foundation, a board independent of Central Rural Electric Cooperative, administers a program called “Operation Round Up.” The CRE Foundation makes grants available to individual projects within the CREC service area. The board recently approved $746 to help purchase supplemental materials for the five kindergarten classrooms. Since the Operation Round Up program began in 2005, more than $150,000 in grants has been awarded.
